Horrific CCTV shows naked man punching a terrified woman non-stop after dragging her to the ground by a bus stop

This is the horrific moment a naked man throws a woman to the ground and attacks her mercilessly. 

 CCTV street cameras show the aggressor, without any clothes on, swoop onto his victim and punch her repeatedly as she tries to defend herself, covering her face and arms. In the video, it seems the man slides into her legs, pulling her to the floor. The victim kicks out at her attacker, but to no avail. He appears to flail, punching at her with both arms, and pulls her hair. She tries to curl up into a ball to protect herself from the brutal attack. 

The man, who social media users speculated was under the effects of drugs, only stopped and got up to run away as a motorist in a passing car approached from out of the camera's range. The footage showed him loitering on the opposite side of the road as a Good Samaritan passer-by ran up to help so he could get her to hospital with the driver's assistance. The 55-year-old victim, who has not been named, was treated for trauma injuries and lacerations. Police and prosecutors were last night trying to identify the attacker. 

At the time the area was suffering from storms which had brought winds and heavy rain as the street CCTV showed. There is no suggestion the attacker knew his victim. Local Alicia Castro wrote on a city newspaper website: 'What a monster!! Where did this degenerate come from?' Another added: 'What a mad son of a b****! There's cameras and police everywhere in that area. He must have been mad or on drugs or both.'

 Early last year a man - thought to be totally unconnected to the savage attack on the woman - was filmed running naked along Mar del Plata's seafront. 

The bizarre incident happened at dawn and the starkers jogger failed to stop despite locals filming him.
