Amorous couple are caught in a naked embrace by Google Street View in Taiwan despite tech giant's crackdown on nudity

Parked off the beaten track in the heart of a Taiwanese mountain range, this couple thought that their naked roadside embrace would forever remain their secret.

But a picture of their intimate moment has been viewed by thousands after a Google Street View camera photographed them in their amorous act

The image would have likely remained undetected if it were not for an eagle-eyed Google user who spotted the couple before plastering their embrace across social media.

He wrote: 'I took a look on Google to see whether I'd find some animals, and unexpectedly came across this wonderful sight!' 

His tweet has been widely shared and has now been seen by tens of thousands of people, many of whom gleefully declared they were going to search for Shantian Road immediately.

But if you were to look straight up the road on your computer or mobile device, you would only see their white Kia SUV.

Only if you rotated the camera using Google Maps's 360 degree technology would you stumble upon the naked lovers pressed up against a face.

The tech giant vowed to clamp down on nudity following a viral image of a Taiwanese woman who flashed her breasts last year.

The remote road in Pingtung Country showed the naturist yanking down her top and revealing her nipples.

In response, Google said it would be tightening up its algorithms which censor or pixelate sexual and graphic images.
