Separate footage indicated they were able to continue the alleged public romp for hours, with the blanket still barely covering their supposed act while the sun was setting.

Viewers of the videos were stunned at the alleged audacious behavior, and questioned why nobody called the police to bring it to an end. 

Two children are seen riding scooters close to the pair, while parents played catch and sat for picnics seemingly unaware of the couple's stunt. 

'Only in New York,' captioned one of the TikToks. 'Trying to enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon in NYC...' 

'No bc how do you actually get away with this in NYC,' captioned the later sunset video. 

As viewers questioned, 'what happened to shame?', the couple also emerged from under the blanket with a sheepish look during the midday romp. 

In New York City, public sex carried a class B misdemeanor charge of public lewdness, and can lead to up to three months behind bars.
